Note: For listing purposes, I give the tie to the athlete who hit the mark first. Times listed to the tenth of a second were hand-timed and, technically, should be considered to be approximately 0.24 slower than Fully-Automatic Times (FAT), which I list to the hundredth of a second.

Coach Ferguson’s lists
While the state track meet switched from standard to metric distances in 1979, it took several more years for area tracks to convert. Those who ran in the 70s, ran almost exclusively standard distances, those from the 90s to the present ran almost exclusively in meters, with those in the 80s running a mix of both. Coach Ferguson compiled his record lists integrating similar races (e.g. 100yd runners with 100m runners). Since standard-distance runners have been excluded from our most current lists, I am including Coach’s lists here.
